The person behind the reels

Hi, I’m Clay Owens.

I’ve spent 15 years working with families in Florida’s dependency system. My mediation practice helps couples and parents talk through difficult issues and work toward practical agreements.

I serve as a neutral mediator. Both of you have a voice in the process.

A few questions you may have.

Can I have a consultation before my spouse agrees?

Yes. You can ask about the process before inviting your spouse or the other parent to learn more. Each person can have an opportunity to speak with me. Get help starting that conversation.

What if we don’t get along?

You do not have to agree on everything to explore mediation. Depending on the circumstances, you may meet together or in separate private Zoom rooms. Safety concerns are addressed privately before mediation, and mediation may be declined if it cannot be conducted safely or fairly.

Does a consultation commit me to divorce or mediation?

No. It is a chance to ask questions about mediation and decide whether the process may fit your situation. It is not marriage counseling or individual legal advice.
