A Practical Way to Resolve Family Conflict

I became a mediator after years of working with families during some of the most difficult periods of their lives. I have seen how stressful court can be—and how families often achieve better, more workable outcomes when they make decisions together.

I earned an engineering degree from The Ohio State University and my law degree from the University of Miami School of Law. That background shapes my practical, organized approach to mediation: identify the real issues, improve communication, and work toward clear solutions.

Experience with Florida Families

Since 2011, I have worked in Florida’s dependency system, representing parents and serving as a prosecutor in cases involving children and families. This experience gives me a balanced understanding of family conflict and the impact court proceedings can have on everyone involved.

It also taught me that productive negotiation—not prolonged courtroom conflict—is often the most effective way to achieve lasting results.

Mediation Before or During a Court Case

My practice primarily serves individuals who are representing themselves and want to resolve family issues before filing in court. Pre-filing mediation can offer a more affordable, private, and less stressful path forward.

I mediate issues involving:

• Parenting plans and timesharing

• Parental responsibility and decision-making

• Child support

• Property division and settlement terms

• Agreed documents for uncontested cases, when appropriate

I also mediate cases that have already been filed. In either setting, my role is to help both sides understand the issues and develop practical agreements that work in everyday life.

As a Certified Kids First Mediator, I help parents keep their children at the center of the conversation—without placing them in the middle of the conflict.

On a Personal Note

I am a father of three, a youth football coach, and an executive board member of a local youth football organization. I understand that family transitions affect far more than legal rights. They affect children, routines, finances, relationships, and the future.

My goal is to help families move forward with greater clarity, less conflict, and a workable plan outside the courtroom.
